Mistaken Identity

In the past some people have used a Google search page (like the one above) to find a sculptor called Marion Smith, unfortunately there’s more than one! Inquirers for the other Marion Smith would say to me “I see a photo of you beside my sculpture so you must be the sculptor who made the work”.

I get a lot of inquiries about repairing figurative garden sculptures made from fibre glass resin. It’s tiresome when people don’t believe me when I explain that I’m not the artist who they are looking for. I have had persistent and indignant messages from people who are convinced that I sold them their figurative sculpture that now requires repair.

So to clarify, in a spirit of helpfulness! I’m Scottish and have been making work since the 1990’s, none of it is made from fibre glass resin.
