In October 2018 I ran wood carving workshops at Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop on two consecutive Saturdays. The aim was to learn how to hand carve a relief panel in locally sourced lime.

Prior to the workshops I circulated guidance notes on how to use personal ideas, photographs and sketches to prepare a suitable drawing ahead of the workshop, at the right scale for the wood that I was supplying.
